Join our skilled, professional and friendly maintenance team at Trinity Hall to provide managerial support to the Head of Buildings and Services by taking on responsibilities with the day to day running of the department.

You are experienced in managing Facilities, Maintenance or Construction Sites including people management with a good practical understanding of Health and Safety Regulations and standing procedures.

You will hold a recognised qualification with a trade or management qualification or equivalent experience within the facilities management or construction industry.

You will be proficient at using computers and hold a valid and full UK driving licence.

Duties

- To assist the Head of Building and Services (HBS) and take responsibility for the supervision and deployment of Maintenance staff and sub-contractors
- To assist the HBS and take responsibility for the monitoring and administration of the Maintenance Management System (currently e-Maint)
- To assist the HBS and take responsibility for the monitoring of work quality in both direct and sub-contract employees
- To assist the HBS and take responsibility for ensuring Maintenance staff and sub-contractors work in a safe and courteous manner to avoid danger to themselves or others
- To manage and allocate shared resources, such as the maintenance vehicle to ensure timely accessibility to those that require those resources to efficiently carry out their job
- To distil information and promote efficiency and good working practices throughout the department in accordance with policies developed within the department.
- To work in conjunction with the HBS to assist in the formulation of new departmental policies and procedures

There is no uniform for this role, post-holders are expected to dress appropriately for the position (e.g. trousers and shirts), however branded clothing items such as coats or overalls will be provided. Further details will be discussed at the interview.

Good previous work references are essential.
